Romantic Moments

Poetic Potpourri

"The beauty of poetry like all creative work is in the eyes and ears of those who see and hear it. Read them. Read them again. Each time I'm sure you will see more.  Thanks, Sarah."   Lauchland Henry - Touch Me Inside

Sarah Louise Yagi is a believer in love, as life's most vital element.  Long years of searching brought her to realize that her passion lies in writing poetry.  She is grateful for the chance to bring comfort, inspiration, laughter and light to her readers.  Her greatest reward lies in the joy that comes from sharing her poetry with others.

Here is one of my favorite poems.  I hope you enjoy it:

Where are the frogs?

I miss the frogs
hiding in the rice paddy
behind our house,
their incessant chant
waking me each morning.
Gwah, gwah, gwah...

No more rice field,
no more frogs;
the old farmer passed away.
His son planted
a parking lot in its place--
less work, more money.

I miss the frogs...

gwah, gwah, gwah.
