Idea to Bookstore

You should plan to create a book, even if you think you're a long time from being ready to publish.  It's important to do so, because although you may not be ready to do a book today, someday you may.  When you are ready, you'll be discouraged when you find out that all your work may not be formatted properly.  SO...... it's a great idea to get off on the right foot ... now ... and you may learn some tricks you didn't know.

For those who use MS word, this article is fantastic and will give you great insight into the world of Microsoft Word.  The article is in a PDF file so you can print it off and use it as a guide.  The article is called typesetting in MS Word.  It may take a minute to load, so be patient.

Even if you don't intend to create a book, this article on creating a book will give you some helpful hints you can use everyday.

If you are doing a book, the articles above will really help - but be sure to read this article on titles too.  Titles are important and quite often overlooked until it's too late.

NOTICE

TJMF Publishing is looking for a few good authors!  We are embarking on a journey into traditional publishing;  We are accepting manuscripts for consideration.

We're looking for another novel.  A mystery novel, to be exact.  Do you have a novel sitting in the wings, waiting for a publisher?  Or do you know a talented author who has a mystery novel worthy of publishing?  Is so, please send a chapter for a quick review to manuscript for our committee to review.

If our staff likes the sample chapter, we will ask for the entire manuscript.  At that point, the decision will be made as to the worthiness of the manuscript, and a publishing contract may be offered.  If editing is needed, the author will pay for this service. TJMF will cover all publishing costs, as outlined in the contract.  If we do ask for your manuscript after reading that one chapter, we will ask for a one time $45.00 reading fee.  This helps us cover the cost of the review process - as we get bigger and more successful, TJMF will be able to cover those fees but right now, we need to have the authors cover that cost.

We are truly in the hunt for good authors and we are serious about becoming a force in small press traditional publishing.  For you, as we grow, the benefits are many, including the satisfaction of seeing your completed novel in print.  The author will, of course, participate in the promotion of the book.  Please spread the word, and help in this search for the next great TJMF novel!
