I’ve published four books with Jim Furber’s help at TJMF Publishing and I couldn’t be happier with the work he’s done. My first book, Native Son, was published in 2006 and was a finalist in the 2007 Oklahoma Book Awards. It was suggested that I change my original cover design (One of my own making) for the competition, and Jim designed the new cover. It was great; I’ve maintained that design through several printings now. I followed that book with Smoke and Stone (The Voices of Gettysburg) and then I Come from Cowboys… and Indians whose cover Jim also helped design. The high quality of that book helped it win the Oklahoma Writer’s Federation Best Book of Poetry Award for 2009. My last book, Oklahoma Cantos, was also published by Jim, and it was again a finalist in the Oklahoma Book Awards and the winner of the 2011 Oklahoma Writer’s Federation Best Book of Poetry Award for 2011. His high quality books have been no small part of my books’ success. I have been proud of the book and it’s appearance every time, nothing but quality from TJMF.
